You Need to Listen to These Podcasts

PODCASTS, THOUGH.

Serial started me on the path to podcast addiction. First of all, if you haven’t listened to Serial, stop what you’re doing and go download it. Listen to all of the episodes in one sitting, and come back.

Perfect, now you see what I mean.

For a while, I struggled to find podcasts that drew me in as deeply as Serial did…truly such a fan. Now that I’ve had time to come down from my Serial high, I’ve managed to find some RIVETING podcasts. Huge shoutout to my friend Sydney, who is constantly introducing me to fun new podcasts. She is the source of most of these faves…wouldn’t make it through the work week without her podcast wisdom.

Keep reading for a list of my top 3 podcasts as of late…and let me know if you have any I should listen to!

As a true fan of The Hills, I love me some Lo Bosworth. Her blog is amazing, but Lady Lovin’ has to be my fave side of her. These lovely ladies cover all kinds of taboo topics- gossip, cheating, threesomes, you name it- while hilariously chatting about their lives. A personal favourite added touch? Jilly Hendrix and her #notestomyselfie. If you aren’t following her on Instagram, that has to be the next item on your to-do list after listening to this podcast.

GUYS. I cannot speak highly enough of this podcast. 3 Canadian guys- one of which has Cystic Fibrosis- talking about living with disease. Sickboy aims to remove the stigma from illness, and uses layman’s terms (seriously, super chill) to explain all kinds of diseases. These guys go off on hilarious tangents- usually about dicks- but always manage to bring it back to their purpose of revealing what it’s like to live with a disease. I’ve learned so much about common (and not-so-common) illnesses, and the discussions I’ve heard have made me reflect on my own health and my priorities in life.

With Halloween coming up, Limetown will get you right into the holiday spirit. Recorded in the style of Serial, a “reporter” sets out to uncover the mystery of Limetown and the disappearance of its inhabitants. Thank God Sydney told me it was fictional before I started listening, because honestly it seems SO REAL. Limetown gets your heart racing, and I’m so excited (/terrified) to hear what comes next.
