What I Bought at the Sephora VIB Sale

Original post here.

Hi, my name is Carly Clydesdale and I am a beauty addict.

Few sales get me more excited than those at Sephora. I typically feel guilty spending money on beauty products, but when offered a discount, it allllll suddenly becomes justifiable.

My Sephora VIB 20% off card came in the mail the other day, and I immediately started brainstorming about the products I needed. This is the perfect time to restock those must-haves that I’ve been too cheap to repurchase, and try out one or two things that I’ve been eyeing for a while. The sale ends on Monday the 14th, so definitely check it out if you’re running low on your favourite products!

FRESH SOY FACE CLEANSER
I’ve heard nothing but good things about this face wash by Fresh…I’m so excited to give it a try! It’s meant to work wonders on your face without bothering sensitive skin; my skin has been giving me nothing but trouble lately, so what’ve I got to lose? (Other than money. I lost money.)

CLINIQUE DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT MOISTURIZING GEL
On the subject of skin, we’re going back to basics here. I recently ran out of my moisturizer and wasn’t sure whether I would repurchase…it didn’t seem to do much for me. I’ve decided to throw it waaaaay back – high school, in fact. My skin was PERFECT when I was a teenager. I rarely broke out and never had issues with oil or texture. Your skin does change as you get older, but this is a last-ditch effort to simplify my skincare routine. I loved this moisturizer when I was younger – it’s super lightweight but does the job of keeping dry skin in check. I’ll report back if I fall in love with it again!

KAT VON D TATTOO LINER – TROOPER
Ugh. I tried to save some money and pick up a new black eyeliner from the drugstore. I won’t name any names, but this popular brand’s black liquid liner pen SUCKS. It’s dry, it drags along my eye, and the colour is patchy at best. I don’t know why I bothered straying from high end liner pens…there really is nothing better. I usually go back and forth between the Stila Stay All Day Liner and the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, and this time I decided to save a few bucks and go with Kat. If you’re a cat-eye lover like myself, don’t bother trying to be budget-friendly. This is the place to splurge.

URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN COLOR CORRECTING FLUID – PEACH
I got this colour corrector as a sample a few months ago…FULL SIZE IS NECESSARY. I have found the holy grail solution to my dark under-eye circles! Mind you, they are still very much present…but they are SO much better and under control. The peach colour totally cancels out any darkness and provides a nice base for my concealer. 10/10 would recommend.

BITE BEAUTY AMUSE BOUCHE LIPSTICK – MAUVEMBER
Aside from my boyfriend’s weird moustache, I am totally in support of Movember. I recently joined a team as a Mo Sista…check it out! Donate if you can! Anyways, I saw this lipstick and knew I had to add it to my cart. I love that Bite Beauty is all-natural, the colour is gorgeous, and half of all Mauvember sales go directly to the Movember Foundation. Pretty lips and supporting a good cause? Sold.

Will you be partaking in the Sephora 20% off sale? Let me know what you get!

PS – Spring Beauty Faves and Face Masks and Mimosas.
