Nervosa

 

 

Trattoria Nervosa is conveniently located near Bay and Bloor, and it is an absolute gem. Not only is the building itself gorgeous (it looks like an old house…HISTORY!), but the menu was spot-on and the atmosphere was stellar. I suggest sitting on the upper balcony, which serves as a sort of rooftop patio; it was a nice reminder that despite the recent weather, it is in fact still summer.

Both my friend Riley and I had the red Sangria, and I highly recommend it. It definitely has alcohol in it (I did not pay $10 for 99% juice) and I was loving the berry garnish. 

 

 

I’m depressingly poor, so no appy or dessert for me. I had the funghi pasta, which was recommended to me by a coworker..if you like mushrooms and cream sauce, PLEASE go for it. No clue what kind of noodle it was (my description was “intestines”), but me likey. I ate it too fast to get a pic… #sorrynotsorry.

Riley had the funghi bruschetta (we like mushrooms) and the scallops; I was way too full to try any, but they looked awesome. Due to my professional people-watching skills, I managed to catch a glimpse of quite a few different meals…the pizzas are to DIE for, and I also was craving a yummy salad.

Looking for a place with a great feel and equally as great food? Look no further; the price tag was a teeny bit pricey (my drink and meal came to $31) but you shouldn’t have to break the piggy bank. Next time you’re in Yorkville, go check out Nervosa…and invite me, I’m dying to go back.
