Life Update II

Jacket – Barbour // Sweater – J Crew (similar) // Jeans – 7 for all mankind (similar) // Sneakers – Pull & Bear

We’re back with another life update, y’all!

Aside from my allergies trying to kill me, June has been a good time so far. Here’s what’s up:

  • I turned 25! I had such an awesome birthday weekend, and I’m liking this whole quarter century thing. I spent time with my fiancé and my best friend, had all of my favourite people over for a beach themed bday bash, had lunch with my family, and got my nails done with the aforementioned bestie. Happiest birthday to me! PS if you haven’t been to Her Majesty’s Pleasure in Toronto, you neeeed to pay them a visit on your next special occasion. I think I was the last girl in the GTA to go there, and it was so worth the trip.
  • In other adult news: WE FOUND A WEDDING VENUE! The process of choosing a venue was honestly pretty stressful, so I’m happy we found a place that we both love and that we were able to lock in a date. I can’t wait to get into planning the fun details of our wedding…08.18.18, here we come!
  • The coolest thing ever happened…I was on a podcast! My friend Will has a podcast called Bill is Boring (But His Friends Aren’t), and for some reason he thought I was interesting enough to be a guest. We talked social media, blogging, and musical theatre – aka a few of my favourite things. I usually hate the sound of my own voice, but I actually love how this episode turned out. Give it a listen!

I seriously can’t believe June is almost over. Summer is flying by! We’re heading to our friend’s cottage for the long weekend, and to another friend’s cottage the weekend after that, so at least there are still things to look forward to in the few months left of warm weather.

These photos are from our last night in Amsterdam – can you say golden hour? My sweet angel insta hubby Stefan put on his game face and took photos for me because I was so obsessed with this lighting.

For the record, I hemmed and hawed over this jacket for YEARS. I finally pulled the trigger and it really is my favourite piece in my outerwear collection. Big thanks to Jess for being my foreign fashion consultant and convincing me I needed it (she was so right).

What’s going on in your lives right now? Hit me with some fun summer plans in the comments.
