Life Lately

Remember when I was a blogger and would occasionally get shit done?

HI I’M STILL HERE!

This summer has been a whirlwind to say the least. I got a shiny new job, I turned 24, I booked 3 vacations (stay tuned…blog posts?!), every weekend has been action-packed, and my boyfriend moved in with me (yay!) To say I’m overwhelmed would be an understatement.

I had dinner with my girl Brittney the other night, and we both appear to be in the same boat: we love blogging and are far from over it. However, we are driven in our jobs & are trying to maintain a social life and that seems to get in the way. Basically we’re trying reeeeeeal hard not to burn out. Working on it! I still love blogging, I swear!

Once I’m settled with Stefan in our condo and get an actual office set-up, I’m looking forward to working on this blog again. By the way, any office inspo I should be checking out? I’m looking for the perfect desk! Pinterest, get at me.

Here’s a look at my life over the past few weeks…starting with this unreal antique market find! Vintage Ray-Bans for $50, alright alright alright! Also, if you’re in the Burlington area, you have to check out Aberfoyle Antique Market…so many cool things!

My friend Sara and I have been cooking dinner and watching Shonda night together for years…what do we do when the seasons are over? Still get together and cook (and drink a bottle of wine in honour of Olivia Pope). Check out them grill marks!

Trying to make a straggler peony from my mom’s garden bloom, accompanied by my new favourite summer candle.

I went to my first Ribfest!!! So much meat and I smelled like smoke for days. Worth it.

Stefan moved in with me and we had our first fight as roommates…

A much-needed getaway at my friend Sam’s cottage, although it turns out there was a bit of a black cloud over the weekend…power outage, flipped jet ski, wet iPhone, bad sunburn. At least there was coffee (and wine)!

A wild Riley appeared in the creek!

Wild raspberries from my parents’ house. Totally not poisonous…I think?

All I do is take pictures of food. Delicious anniversary dinner at Joey Sherway! I am such a sucker for Baja fish tacos…and beer. Always beer.
