Happy belated Thanksgiving, Canadians! I hope you all had an awesome long weekend.

Mine was jam packed. On Saturday we took Stefan’s parents to see Matilda and out for dinner at Planta. Guys, I need to talk for a second about Planta. I am OBSESSED. If you’re in the Yorkville area, you need to stop by this restaurant. The menu is entirely plant-based, and everything we tried tastes like heaven. The pricepoint isn’t ridiculous, so it’s definitely worth checking out. I highly recommend the cauliflower tots, the harvest bowl, the no-noodle lasagne and the chocolate terrarium. I’m going back this week, so maybe I’ll write a blog post…hmmmm…

Otherwise, I spent lots of time with family and eating too much food! I’m STILL ridiculously full from yesterday’s meal at my parents’. I can’t believe it’s already mid-October…is it appropriate to play Christmas music and burn fresh balsam candles yet? Asking for a friend.

Amidst all of the eating, I wanted to take some photos of my favourite fall sweater! I wasn’t sure about how this colour would look on me when it was in the store, but Stefan encouraged me to try it out. Once I got it on my body, I fell in love! The colour is perfect for fall, and goes oh-so-nicely with my Barbour jacket.

On the note of blog posts…I like taking outfit posts. They’re fun and are a good exercise for me in patience (I am sooo easily frustrated). But I want them to be more than just “look at how cool this top is.” I’ve recently been loving how Blair writes her posts on The Fox and She; beautiful outfit posts that are sometimes focused on a piece or two, but are often paired with a thoughtful written piece. I love the idea of taking fun photos and featuring clothes, but chatting about something a bit more meaningful.

Either way, I absolutely love how these photos turned out. Maybe I’m getting more relaxed in front of the camera, maybe Stefan is more comfortable behind the lens, or maybe it’s just this time of year. As I mentioned in this post, fall is apparently my most creative time. We shot one of my favourite blog posts almost exactly a year ago, and something about October makes me want to work harder.

I just love everything that fall has to offer. My senses seem to be amplified; I’ve already talked about my love for fall food, fall smells are heavenly, the leaves are changing, and everything seems a tad more enjoyable. Despite work ramping up and my finances getting tighter as Christmas approaches, I feel more relaxed. Maybe it’s the thought of getting cozy at night under a blanket with a candle burning and lights a-twinklin’.

So anyways. I’m hoping to pivot with my blog in the coming months (PIIIIIIIVOT). I’ve been blogging for 2.5 years now (holy shit) and it’s time for a bit of a change. Lots of exciting things coming up this fall! A friend’s wedding, performances start for my play, a collab with a killer brand…

All in all I’m feeling GOOOOD about The Clydescope, and this post is sparking my interest in spending more time on this little passion project of mine. I really appreciate everyone who stops by to read, comment and share! Every little bit of engagement with the content I create means the world to me.

Would love to hear your thoughts on adding depth to blog posts. Do you want to hear my thoughts, or would you rather just look at style photos? Who are some of your favourite bloggers and what style of blog do you enjoy reading?
