Fall To-Do List

Fall is pretty much my favourite season; if Christmas were in September, autumn would take the cake. While this season may not have the same fun, carefree vibe as summer, I still like to think that there is so much to do in the upcoming months. Less sweating, and more coziness. At the beginning of every season I like to make myself a little “To-Do List” to remind myself to step away from work and stress and do the little things that make me happy. I did this at the beginning of summer, and I’m intrigued to see how well I did at checking things off my list. Let’s take a look-see:

X Go hiking at Rattlesnake Point
X Eat vegan (or at least try) for a week or more
X Picnic at High Park
✓ Try a new recipe every week
✓ Learn the features of my Canon Rebel
X Get another piercing and/or tattoo
✓ Take advantage of patio season
X Plan and throw a dinner party
✓ Teach myself guitar (again)
✓ Beat my own best in a round of golf
X Save more money than I spend
X Take fashion risks! Wear things I never thought I would wear

5/12. Alright, so I kind of failed…I didn’t realize how quickly summer would escape me!

Now that autumn is upon us, here is my checklist for the remainder of 2014…I’ll check back around Christmas to see how I did!

  1. Go apple picking
  2. Learn to knit (or crochet)
  3. Get that piercing/tattoo I didn’t get this summer

  4. Find a cool DIY on Pinterest and make it

  5. Plan a kick-ass girls night in

  6. Send more snail mail

  7. Carve pumpkins (and roast pumpkin seeds)

  8. SAVE MONEY, DAMNIT

  9. Go to Kingston to visit my alma mater

  10. Take my parents out for dinner- and pay for it myself

  11. Come up with a brilliant Halloween costume

  12. Plan a trip for 2015
