The steps for my perfect winter day are as follows:
1. Open my eyes to see a not-so-light sprinkling of snow on my windowsill.
2. Look at my phone and come to the realization that the TTC is completely shut down
3. Do a happy dance and dive back into my covers
4. Cozy up and rotate between napping, reading, and watching shows all day
5. Repeat for a week straight.
How badly do I wish this could happen? SO BADLY. Alas, I live in Canada and we are fully equipped to get on with our days during the winter. I can probably count the amount of snow days I’ve had in my life on two hands- maybe even one. The closest I can get to my dream snow day scenario is having the comfiest, coziest bed of all time, in which I can indulge in all-day cat naps on the weekend. While I have spent years perfecting the ultimate cozy bed- from mattress to pillows to duvet- I’m starting to crave new covers to burrow into. It must be the cooler weather in combination with my Pinterest addiction; there is a WORLD of coziness out there, waiting for me to embrace it! (PS if you aren’t following me on Pinterest, you should be…that is, if you like puppies and home inspiration). Judging by the 10+ degree weather yesterday, the ever elusive snow day may still be out of my grasp…in the meantime, I’ll have to settle for lazy Sunday mornings and the imminent sick day that I have so far avoided.

I encourage you all to take a “me-day” and spend some quality one-on-one time snuggling with your bed. Your body and mind will thank you for it (as will Starbucks & Netflix).
