April Birchbox

It’s been a while since I posted a Birchbox unboxing, and what a perfect time…this is one of my favourite boxes to date! Anyways. I’m loving the contents of this box! This month contained:

– BeeKind Shower Gel
– Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Moisturizing Shampoo
– Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Repairing Conditioner
– Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Highlighter
– Mereadesso All-In-One Moisturizer

I swear I haven’t needed to buy shampoo or conditioner in months…Birchbox is a lifesaver. I’m yet to try the hair products or the highlighter, but I don’t foresee any disappointment. I’ve never heard of Beaver or Jelly Pong Pong, but I love moisturizing shampoos, and highlighters are awesome for a glowy look in the summertime. Who knows, maybe one of them will make it into a monthly favourites…

I did however try the shower gel and moisturizer, and I think I’m in love. The shower gel smells amazing (it’s lemon verbena scented) and lathered really nicely. I also like what the brand stands for: the brand donates a portion of proceeds to honeybee research, and the packaging is recyclable. Not that I’m some huge animal activist, but it’s kind of cool to know that money spent on a product partially helps a cause other than making people pretty.

The moisturizer is a product I’d definitely consider adding to my regular rotation. The “all-in-one” feature definitely applies: this product is a moisturizer, makeup primer, serum and eye cream all in one. It doesn’t have an overwhelming smell which I like, and a little goes a long way. A thin layer is all you need, and my skin felt super silky when I woke up this morning. As an added plus, the travel sized package has a unique dispenser that I’ve never seen before. It keeps you from having to cut open a foil package and squeeze product all over your hands, and makes for easy storage and travel. Go Mereadesso!
