A Weekend in Stratford

It’s summer solstice y’all! This heat is sooo real, but I’m not complaining. I am one happy (and sweaty) chick when I get to sit outside all weekend!

For my birthday, Stefan took me on a weekend getaway to Stratford. For those not from Ontario, Stratford is basically the cutest place on earth and is every theatre lover’s dream. I used to go all the time in high school for drama or English class, but I haven’t been to the Festival in years. Stefan got us tickets to A Chorus Line, and it was the BEST (thanks again Stef!!). It’s the first time ever that a professional production has been given permission to alter choreography…huuuuge deal, and the show was stunning.

Our weekend in Stratford wasn’t unlike today weather-wise….100000 degrees and sunny. Pants were a bad choice. Buuuuut between a couple of beers, a stroll by the river, and ice cream, it was a gorgeous weekend. This off the shoulder top from Topshop was a lifesaver…it felt like the next best thing to wearing no clothes.

Also, there were baby swans. We all know how I react to baby animals. Can’t take me anywhere.

If you’re in Stratford this summer, I highly recommend a stroll through the Shakespearean Gardens (post coming soon!) and dinner at Pazzo.  We had antipasti with the best bocconcini. Sooooo creamy. I could spend days exploring this beautiful town, but I suppose 2 days will do for now. Enjoy a few snaps from our weekend getaway!
