Best of Beauty

Some of my favourite videos to watch on YouTube are monthly favourites. I love seeing what products/items my favourite bloggers are loving as of late, and I figured I’d join the party. Over the next few weeks, I’ll let you know what my favourites have been in the past little while! Coming soon will be fashion and random favourites, but to start off we have my top 5 beauty favourites! Please excuse my chipped nails…I could try to come up with an excuse, but let’s get real, I was excited to photograph these products and was too lazy to touch up a few tiny chips! ♡

1. Thursday Plantation, Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Toner ($10.95)
My skin has decided to freak out on me over the past few years, and I’ve been trying every product under the sun to try and tame it. This toner by Thursday Plantation has been making a huge difference. I use it after I remove my makeup with a face cleanser and run a cotton pad with Bioderma water over my face, but before I apply my facial moisturizer. I love the smell of tea tree oil, and the combination of tea tree and witch hazel has calmed my skin down without drying it out.

2. Elizabeth & James, Nirvana Black Perfume ($26)
I’ll give the credit on this one to my best friend Kathleen. She was buying this perfume from Sephora and in typical bestie fashion, I had to have it too (this hasn’t changed since we were 15). I am SO glad I jumped on her bandwagon with this scent! Sandalwood is one of my favourite smells in the world, and this perfume doesn’t seem to wear off all day. This is my new signature scent, and I’m definitely going to need to buy a full sized version very, very soon.

3. Stila, Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner ($26)
Okay. I had heard rave reviews about this liner for years, and then my boyfriend’s sister bought me this for my birthday. I am OBSESSED. Never again will I buy another liquid liner,  because I have found my new winged liner soulmate. This liner came in a set with a purple stick liner from Stila, and I like drawing a thin purple line on top of my black liquid line for a sassier take on a coloured look.

4. The Body Shop, Coconut Lip Butter ($6)
I don’t know about you, but lip & body butters from The Body Shop were SUCH a trend in middle school. Everyone I know was obsessed with these products (particularly the Satsuma scent). I received this lip butter as a prize at a bridal shower, and my love for Body Shop has come back! The coconut scent is particularly awesome…it smells like sunscreen in the best way.

5. Essie, Borrowed & Blue Nail Polish ($8.50)
This was one of my spring polish purchases, and I’m still loving it! The pale blue is a departure from my usual dark or bright coloured nails, and it looks great on my toes…it makes you look super tanned, which I am so into.
