Summer 2014 will be the most independent summer I have ever had. I worked at a summer camp for three years, and last summer I lived at home while working at a golf course. While some of my greatest memories and friendships derive from camp, I surrendered a degree of freedom (and any hopes of making or saving money) in order to work with kids in Muskoka all summer. 2013 was a big change, as I worked part-time and was closer to the city. However, living at home (while it does have its perks) kept me from feeling totally independent. Now, I am living on my own and working 9-5. Summer is so exciting; I can do whatever I want, whenever I want…the possibilities are endless. I’m looking forward to exploring my city and making the most of this beautiful summer! To celebrate June, I’ve put together a “bucket list” of sorts to remind myself to let loose, be outdoors, and try new things this summer. I will check back in a few months to let you know how I did! ♡
- Go hiking at Rattlesnake Point
- Eat vegan (or at least try) for a week or more
- Picnic at High Park (Riley, take note!)
- Try a new recipe every week
- Learn the features of my Canon Rebel (and use them!)
- Get another piercing and/or tattoo
- Take advantage of patio season
- Plan and throw a dinner party
- Teach myself guitar (again)
- Beat my own best in a round of golf
- Save more money than I spend (off to a rocky start…)
- Take fashion risks! Wear things I never thought I would wear
What are you excited to do this summer?
I’m really impressed with your writing skills and also withthe layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you
modify it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice blog like this one today.
I blog frequently and I genuinely appreciate your content.Your article has truly peaked my interest. I will bookmark your website and keep checking for new details about once per week.
