Workin’ On My Fitness

Let’s get real. I often get into a great routine of working out every day, and then as soon as I miss a day…POOF. It’s McDonald’s and Netflix with the gym as nothing but a distant memory. Convincing myself to push past the temptation of my bed is a seemingly impossible task, but this summer I am DETERMINED to break my track record.

When I picture myself getting whipped into shape, this is what comes to mind:

Okay, maybe not being yelled at by an incarcerated musical version of Brooke Wyndham. But pushing yourself to the limit and being the “best that you can be”…THAT I can handle!

This blog post is my commitment to GET FIT! I am blessed with a pretty fast metabolism and athletic build (thanks mom!), however that doesn’t mean that I am fit or toned! I am looking forward to giving it a shot and trying to push my will power with a new challenge. Below are some of the tips that Lauren Conrad suggests in her Bikini Boot Camp plan (which I’ve always wanted to try), and the workouts that she recommends. She does provide a meal plan as well, but I’m being realistic with myself…there is no way that I can plan my meals and eat from the menu she suggests. Maybe some day, but for now, let’s stick to the exercise. ♡

Lauren’s tips for a work-out routine guaranteed to stick are as follows:

Set your goal and visualize yourself achieving it
My goal is to get into a routine and tone my arms, abs, and thighs!

Get organized
Shouldn’t be a problem for me…#TypeAProbz

Indulge your sweet tooth…with healthy options
It’s not so much my sweet tooth that I’m concerned about; it’s my salty tooth (it’s a thing…I just made it up). I LOVE salty foods, so I need to take a step back and consider what they’re doing to my health!

Weekends count too
This one will be a struggle. I love convincing myself that Saturdays and Sundays are my “rest days.”

Feel free to check out the rest of LC’s Bikini Boot Camp post (click the image above!)…the exercises and menu options are available on her website, and they don’t seem too bad! I’m pretty pumped to get started on my get-fit plan.

Do you have any tips for sticking to a work-out routine? Let me know!

Love this Miles! boom there’s some motivation right there- in your camp name! My best advise for people working on their fitness is to not be too hard on yourself! To work out for your mind/ heart and the positive side effects on your body will be a worthwhile reward! Work hard-play harder! x x
