Market Sundays

Happy Easter! Spring has finally sprung! Although I’m bummed to be away from my family and my boyfriend for Easter weekend, it has been a perfect time to enjoy the company of friends, along with some solitude. Lately I welcome a little alone-time with open arms! The sun is out, the parka is in storage (where it belongs!) and my mood is improving every day.

As I’m nearing the end of my four years at university, I have decided it’s finally time for me to take advantage of what Kingston has to offer. A beautiful, sunny Sunday meant delicious brunch and a trip to the market with some amazing friends. Unfortunately, I am yet to finish my final exams; and there is obviously nothing better than a mimosa and some breakfast food to take my mind off of all the work that I need to get done. Pan Chancho is a not-so-secret treasure in Kingston; arguably the best brunch food and bakery, this gem of a restaurant had my heart from the first moment I went there (too late in my university career, let me tell you).

After filling ourselves to the brim, it was off to the market. My friend Riley is a lover of all things vintage, so she was a great partner to have while sifting through all of these lost treasures. Again, I discovered this market far too late in my four years in Kingston…I’m sure I could have found some amazing nicknacks. It was a gorgeous day to be outside; donning sunglasses and flats, I couldn’t have been happier. I managed to pick up a gorgeous gold ring (not pictured…maybe it’ll make it into my Week in Review!) and an adorable little cocker spaniel figurine for my mom. We have three cocker spaniels, so I figured it would be perfect for my crazy-dog-lady mama (I love you mom!!). Being the memory-lover that I am, I brought my camera along and snapped a few pictures to remember Easter Sunday 2014. ♡
