Those who know me are aware that I am a YouTube fanatic…I could easily spend hours scrolling through beauty videos, theatre-related content, and everything else in between. Here is some of the video content that I am obsessed with this week, and hopefully I’ll open your eyes to some new channels!! You can expect quite a bit of musical theatre…culture yo’self. ♡
First and foremost, this video by Superfruit is EVERYTHING. Scott and Mitch are two of the five members of the a cappella group Pentatonix, and it’s safe to say that I am addicted to everything they put on the internet. This video is a few weeks old, however as of late it has been on repeat whenever I’m in my car…I am hell bent on learning every harmony and riff (let’s just say it’s going to be a long process).
Another recent obsession of mine is Disney’s Frozen. Not only does it feature Broadway diva Idina Menzel as Elsa, but the music was co-written by the composer of the musical Avenue Q and his wife…taaaaaalk about talented future children. ANYWAYS, I came across this video on Broadway.com and knew I had to share it with you. I am a sucker for fierce female vocals, and this video doesn’t fail to deliver!! The different languages add a whole new dimension to “Let It Go”, and I can’t get enough!
While we’re on the topic of Frozen and “Let It Go”, let’s discuss this HILARIOUS video of a little girl’s rendition of “Do You Wanna Build A Snowman”. I came across this today and couldn’t stop laughing…even though this kid is screaming in pain. Schadenfreude? 100%.
Last but not least, this video is kind of a personal favourite. I am a hopeless romantic, and a good proposal video gets me every time…scratch that, ANY proposal video makes me all mushy inside. This video is of one of my favourite YouTubers Colleen Ballinger (aka Miranda Sings) getting engaged to her longtime boyfriend (who posted this video). I’m a little creeped out by myself and how happy this video made me…I have been watching Colleen’s videos for years, and so it was so beautiful for her to share this intimate part of her life with her viewers.
